Certification and Licensing Requirements for Tennessee Accountants

The Tennessee State Board of Accountancy oversees licensure of CPAs in the state. Applicants must complete 150 semester hours of coursework, including 30 hours in accounting, 24 of which must be upper-level courses, and 24 semester hours of business study.
