Certification and Licensing Requirements for Maryland Accountants

CPA applicants must meet their state's educational requirements and pass the Uniform CPA Examination. Of the total required semester hours, 27 must be in accounting and related subjects, and three must be in ethics. 80 hours of continuing professional education credits are required for each stage of an applicant's licensing renewal.
